MAYWOOD |  After its forced closing, due to financial difficulty, a local library gets a
second chance to reopen its doors.
Maywood Mayor Edwenna Perkins and Rep. Emanuel “Chris” Welch (7th District),
announced Saturday, at a press conference, the reopening of the Maywood Pubic
Library.

The library closed its doors last month when its mortgage servicer Seaway Bank forced
foreclosure, by refusing to extend the loan.   Stan Huntington, Director, announced at the
closing in October that the library would reopen when funding permits.
